The Republic of Indonesia has entered its 74th age. At his age, various threats and challenges come and go. No exception the threat of ideological replacement that undermines and damages the national order.
No doubt, preserving the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) with its system and ideology is an important determination that must always be instilled and pursued in order to maintain the integrity of the nation.
"One determination, namely to maintain and fill the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, mainly preserving the integrity of the nation and the Republic of Indonesia," said Deputy Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board H Mohammad Ma'shum Machfoedz when he was the organizer of the 74th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on the PBNU Office, Kramat Raya 164 St., Jakarta, Saturday (17/8).
Achieving independence is not an easy matter. It took hundreds of years to build unity and millions of lives until finally the text of the Proclamation was read by President Soekarno in Jakarta on August 17, 1945. "After independence, we looked at the future of the Indonesian nation, of course, by remembering the origins of independence that was full of blood and struggle," he said .
The Rector of the Nahdlatul Ulama University of Indonesia (UNUSIA) in Jakarta revealed that Indonesia's independence was not about giving or mercy. However, it is true of the sweat and blood that flows from the bodies that are full of willingness for the future of their children and grandchildren.
"There is one note that deserves to be kept in mind together that independence of Indonesia by efforts of the Indonesian people, the heroes who sacrifice their blood, lives and property," he explained.
No doubt, the jargon that is always echoed by Nahdliyin NKRI is Price of Death ’. That, said Ma’shum, given what was mandated and bequeathed by the nation's ancestors.
Therefore, he reminded that all elements of the nation must really try hard to maintain the Homeland with everything in it.
"Speaking of the Unitary Republic of Indonesiathe Dead Price is certainly with all its development models, with all the promised welfare, with all the social and humanitarian justice built by this nation, for this welfare and nationality which is just and prosperous, baldatun tayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur," he concluded.
